Whether you need to take a break from the game, can’t cover the cost for the month or even if FFXIV is just not your thing it is easy to cancel your subscription through the Mog Station.
#1 Log in to Mog Station
Start by logging in to Mog Station. Mog Station is the Service Account Dashboard for Final Fantasy XIV where you can manage your subscription and additional paid services.
#2 Select Service Account Status
Select sevice account status from the left sidebar menu under service account settings. Once on this page you will see an overview of all active services attached to your account.
#3 Select Cancel Subscription
Under the subscription section, you will find a button to the right of the Next Estimated Billing date conveniently named, Cancel Subscription.
#4 Confirm You Wish to Cancel Subscription
Once you have selected the cancel subscription button it will take you through to a confirmation screen, select Next to continue and cancel the subscription.
#5 Cancel Subscription
You will be brought to a final screen with a short survey from Square Enix asking why you wish to cancel. If you don’t want to share that information, you can select the I Prefer Not To Answer option, then finalise the process selecting the Cancel Subscription button.
You have now cancelled your subscription to Final Fantasy XIV, if you have days left on your subscription you will still be able to play until they run out. You can renew your subscription at any time or wait to join again during promotion periods frequently put on by Square Enix for returners.
